Celebrating Aspeq's 30th Anniversary

Jul 26, 2022

Aspeq is excited to celebrate our 30th anniversary in July 2022.

We were thrilled and grateful to come together with our entire team to celebrate this fantastic milestone in Martinborough on July 1st this year by enjoying what the local brewery and wineries had to offer. It was fantastic to have the chance to reconnect with our team from Australia after such an extended period and exchange stories of the 30-year journey.

This remarkable milestone was only possible due to the hard work and passion of our past and present team, some of whom have dedicated over two decades to making Aspeq a global leader in high-stakes assessment for critical industries. Over the last 30 years, Aspeq has dedicated itself to high standards, product innovation, and business process improvements to deliver quality assessment services.

Our CE, Hamish Findlay said, "Reaching this significant milestone has provided me with an opportunity to reflect on all the wonderful people who have contributed to Aspeq’s success. They have created a great platform for the next thirty.”

The celebrated 30-year journey for Aspeq started in 1992 when Aspeq (initially known as Aviation Services Limited or ASL for short) set out to provide aviation assessment through a delegation from Civil Aviation New Zealand (CAANZ). This delegation was the first instance in the world of aviation assessment being outsourced and set the path for Aspeq to become a global leader in aviation assessment.

Aspeq built its experience in the New Zealand aviation industry by providing high-stakes assessment and flight-testing services, which provided the platform to expand outside aviation worldwide. Our commitment to delivering assessments to critical industries where the certification of professionals is essential for public safety was critical to Aspeq’s growth. Over the last 30 years we have provided assessments to clients in transport, finance, emergency services, medical, and regulated trade industries. Our growth has been generated by our extraordinary team which strive to provide excellence in assessment services.

Aspeq has shown a commitment towards innovation as we have journeyed from paper assessments to developing and building our own in-house assessment booking portal called Tasman and our own secure assessment delivery system called Quadrant.

As we take time to recognise and celebrate 30 years of Aspeq we would like to thank all those that have been part of our journey, including the many clients and organisations that have put their trust in our abilities to deliver outstanding assessment services. We look forward to working with you for decades to come.
