Aspeq Proudly Supports Young Eagles 2024 Scholarship Programme

Nov 29, 2023

Aspeq is thrilled to announce its continued sponsorship of the Young Eagles 2024 Scholarship Programme, reinforcing its commitment to nurturing young talent in aviation. We eagerly anticipate witnessing the emergence of promising aviators next year.

The scholarships are a part of the prestigious Ross Macpherson Memorial Scholarships, named after the late Ross Macpherson, an aviation enthusiast who generously contributed to Flying NZ for scholarships. The fund, initiated shortly after the inception of the Young Eagle programme in New Zealand, enables the provision of five or more scholarships annually.

In 2024, Aspeq joins Gallagher Insurance, Airways NZ, and the Civil Aviation Authority as a generous industry partner, collectively funding the Ross Macpherson Memorial Scholarship. Their dedication to supporting aspiring aviators is commendable, and Flying NZ expresses gratitude for their invaluable contribution.

The Ross Macpherson Memorial Scholarship fund has played a pivotal role in enabling young eagles across New Zealand to accumulate valuable flying hours. The continuous support from sponsors has ensured the success and longevity of these scholarships, contributing to the growth of aviation enthusiasts.

Named in honor of Ross Macpherson, the former editor of the New Zealand Wings Magazine, these scholarships embody his passion for all aspects of aviation. Before his passing in 1996, Ross generously provided a substantial grant for flying scholarships, creating a lasting legacy in the aviation community.

Aspeq looks forward to the continued success of the Young Eagles 2024 Scholarship Programme and the positive impact it will have on the future of aviation in New Zealand. The company remains dedicated to supporting initiatives that inspire and empower the next generation of aviators.
