Computer Booking Systems
ASPEQ supplies and uses a booking and exam delivery management system to deliver its high stakes assessment services. This is a purpose-built management system that is licensed to customers as a remotely-hosted software service. The system addresses:
- Exam Product Management. This manages high stakes exam products, and their syllabus rules (prerequisites, requirements and related products associations). It also manages the business rules for categorisation, pricing and terms of delivery.
- Training Organisation Management. This part of the system permits training organisations to manage some of the relationships that they have with candidates - registrations of candidates and management of their bookings and results. Security and candidate privacy have been given special consideration in these functions.
- Exam Delivery Infrastructure. This allows the customer to manage its inventory of exam venues and technologies, and maintains data relating to geographic location, time zones, capacity and availability, local holidays, bookings and personnel.
- Schedule Management. This facilitates the set-up of the exam delivery schedule, using the exam products and venues.
- High Stakes Bookings. Booking administration facilitates the management of candidate registrations, booking and payment for exams, management of their attendance and the making available of results. It operates on the assumption that candidates should be able to perform as many functions as possible in order to reduce or eliminate administrative intervention. Where interfaces for validation purposes are required (such as looking up records and codes in customer licensing systems or corporate LMS), these are supported by web service connectors.
- High Stakes Sittings. The system interfaces with an exam generation system, which shares schedule, exam and candidate information. This can be a discrete exam generation system or part of the functions of a wider corporate LMS.
- Results Management. The system retrieves result information immediately on availability from the exam generation system or LMS, and these are notified to candidates by email or chosen communication options, and via the secure candidate portal.
